Font conversion repackages supported outlines and standard tables for a different container. It cannot guarantee identical hinting, kerning, variable-font behavior, naming, licensing metadata, or rendering across browsers and desktop applications. Confirm that the license permits conversion and redistribution before publishing the result.
The private font worker validates the input and output containers, limits the job to one file, and removes its temporary directory after processing. Test normal, bold, punctuation, accented characters, numerals, and any required writing systems in the actual target browser or application before replacing the original font asset.
TTF suits many desktop and design applications. WOFF and WOFF2 are web-font containers, with WOFF2 generally providing smaller files for modern browsers. Conversion does not create missing weights or styles. Keep each family member separate, preserve the licensed originals, and verify the CSS family name, weight mapping, fallback behavior, and loading result on the deployed site.
Check italic and bold variants independently. A successful regular-font conversion does not prove that other family files contain the expected outlines, names, weights, or style flags.
